Telling stories that connect us to the land and sea.
My connection with nature has always been central to my identity, as has my love of stories. These intertwining threads in my character have led my journey for as long as I can remember.
I see countless stories in nature. They challenge me to consider my place on the landscape and humans’ relationship with wildlife. I seek to share these stories and inspire others to reflect on their relationship to nature.
My aims as a communicator are to use media to explore people’s relationships with wildlife and how that relationship might influences a species’ future. Our relationship with the landscape and wildlife is the cornerstone of conservation. Conservation is a matter of our ability to coexist with a natural landscape, which includes wildlife. Nature does not exist in a world that is extrinsic to our human world. Our stories are so deeply interconnected. In order for people and nature to thrive, we first must consider how our relationships allow for coexistence.
